“Sumama sa makasaysayang #MayoUno2018!” Renato Reyes wrote on his Facebook page Monday, as caption to a screenshot of Sharon’s 80s movie, “Bukas, luluhod ang mga tala!” But instead of Sharon’s original line in the movie, Reyes wrote, “Bukas, magsasama-sama ang mga manggagawa. (Tomorrow, all laborers will unite.)
Earlier, major labor groups Kilusang Mayo Uno (KMU) and Nagkaisa Labor coalition (NAGKAISA) announced they will hold a protest rally in Metro Manila, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo and Cagayan De Oro against President Duterte’s alleged failure of his promise during election campaign that he will end contractualization, or Endo (End-of-contract).

"For the first time since 1989, almost all labor unions in the Philippines will convene and unite, and this has only one message: We are angry at the President for turning his back on his promise. He is the one who promised so he should fulfill it.” Joshua Mata, a co-convenor of NAGKAISA said in a statement in Filipino.
“We will no longer play along. At this point, it is clear that Duterte has no intention of working with the labor sector, and will keep rejecting our proposals. He is hiding out in Cebu to avoid the tens of thousands of workers who will converge in Malacañang on Labor Day,” KMU chairperson Elmer “Ka Bong” Labog said in a press conference.
Meanwhile, Cuneta demanded Reyes to delete his Facebook post showing her photo. “Dear Mr. Renato Reyes, I respect your right to protest and freedom of expression. But using my photo without my consent is very disrespectful. Please don’t use me. Thank you.” Sharon wrote on a Facebook post, which was deleted a few minutes after it was posted.
