As you can clearly see on the photos posted at WitBloc Facebook page on Thursday, June 7, at least 3 urinals for males have President Duterte’s face on the exact spot where male students and professors drop their pee. At close up, you will notice that the president’s mouth is wide open and his hands appear to be welcoming the urine.

Based on our research, these comfort rooms are located at the Palma Hall, or more commonly known today as AS (College of Arts and Sciences) in UP Diliman. Late last month, there were also viral photos share on Facebook showing various urinals with President Duterte’s face. However, the exact locations were not identified.

In November 2016, UP Diliman faculty members slammed President Duterte for allowing the burial of the late former president Ferdinand Marcos at the at the Libingan ng mga Bayani (LNMB). Marcos children, especially former Senator Bongbong Marcos and Ilocos Norte Gov. Imee Marcos are known to be Duterte’s friends and supporters.

In addition, UP Diliman students who are members of leading militant groups have been criticizing President Duterte on several other issues. This includes the so-called EJKs (extra judicial killings) connected to the government’s intensified war against illegal drugs, the proposed shift to federalism, martial law in Mindanao, among others.

In early February this year, Duterte threatened to kick out UP students who continue to hold protest rallies during classes, and shall replace them students from the lumad or cultural minorities from Mindanao. This is after several students of UP Diliman students walked out of their classes to participate in the National Day of Walkout Against Tyranny and Dictatorship.
