Watch: Trillanes Asks for Take 2 During Interview, Hindi Na-record ang Script? (Video)

In a very awkward situation, Senator Antonio Trillanes IV asked the media for a Take 2 during his recent interview, while doing his usual habit – criticizing President Rodrigo Duterte. This is after someone informed him that his audio seemed to have not been recorded properly, and they have to start all over again. Watch the video below.

“Saba oie. Take 2 kasi hindi narecord ang script ko. Wala ako talent fee kung hindi ako sumunod sa script. And oh, by the way, I’m running under the Magdalo partylist. And wala ako time kung hindi ako bayaran para sa presscon ko.” Davao City Mayor Inday Sara Duterte wrote on her caption on the said Trillanes interview video.

(Take 2 because my script was not recorded. I will not receive my talent fee if I will not follow the script…and I have no time if I will get paid for my presscon.)

Apparently, Mayor Sara Duterte was being sarcastic to Sen. Trillanes, who has been a staunch critic of her father since the latter part of the 2016 election campaign period. And as expected, the presidential daughter and her younger brother, former Davao City Vice Mayor Pulong Duterte are fighting back against the Liberal Party (LP) ally senator.

“So para maiwasan nya yung pangyayari na yan, sa ngayon pa lang ay naghahanap na sila ng paraan kung papano manatili sa pwesto. (For him to avoid that from happening, they are now looking for ways to stay in power.) Sen Trillanes said in a video interview. But suddenly, he stopped and asked, “Ano, ulitin natin?” (Should we repeat?)

After a few seconds, a female voice can be heard saying that the audio was lost and his statements were not recorded. After another few seconds, Sen. Trillanes prepared himself and said, “Ok na? Take 2, Take 2!” as he laughed on the apparent blooper during the interview. The same female then said, “With feelings!” and the senator agreed.

Last Tuesday, Trillanes suggested that President Duterte is pushing Mayor Inday Sara to run for senator in 2019 and then president in 2022 so that their family will still be in power after the next presidential election. As a response, she said that Trillanes should leave her alone if he wants to remain relevant for the future generation.
