Robredo said in a statement.
(The day we are afraid of has arrived. The decision of the Supreme Court to be in favor of the quo warranto petition [against Sereno] is a direct insult to the sacred institution of our country. Now that the foundation of justice has been compromised, to whom shall we run to?)

The 53-year old vice president added.
(We are very worried about this decision. In this decision not to scrap the quo warranto petition, there are many questions we need to face. They have ousted Sen. [Leila] de Lima, now it’s Chief Justice Sereno. It’s likely possible to be the next one. We cannot deny the truth. They can only do this to women.)
Robredo, who is now facing an electoral protest in the vice-presidential race filed by losing candidate, former senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr.
(But despite of everything, there is still one truth that cannot be forsaken. Our last hope is ourselves. The real power is at the hands of the people.)
Meanwhile, Malacañang urged the public to respect the SC’s decision. “The Supreme Court is the final arbiter of the law. The High Court has spoken. Let us respect its decision granting the quo warranto petition as the proper remedy.” Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque said in a statement, shortly after the news broke out.
