VP Robredo Avoids Seeing Bongbong Marcos During Bruno Marcos Concert, Leaves Early?

Top celebrities and politicians watched the sold-out concert of Bruno Mars at the Mall of Asia Arena on Thursday night, May 3. However, some netizens said they saw Vice President Leni Robredo but she left early after learning that former Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. is also there, and that she wants to avoid meeting him.

“Nakita namin si VP Robredo at mga anak nya dun sa concert ni Bruno Mars nung Huwebes. Tapos, bigla na lang na lang daw umalis kahit nangangalahati pa lang yung concert. Pag labas namin, nalaman naming na nanood din pala si Bongbong Marcos at mrs nya.” A netizen wrote on Facebook on Saturday, May 5.

(We saw VP Leni Robredo and her two daughters [Trish and Jillian] at Bruno Mars’ concert last Thursday. Then, we learned that she immediately left even the concert is not yet half-way through. After the concert, we also learned that Bongbong Marcos and his wife [Liza Araneta] were also there.)

“Ang tsika samin, may bumulong daw kay VP na magkalapit lang lang daw sila ng upuan nila nina Bongbong kaya bigla daw itong umalis at iniwan mga anak nya. Natakot?” (Some people told us that someone whispered to VP that Marcos’ seat was neat them, that’s why she suddenly left her children. Was she afraid?)” The unnamed netizen added.

As we all know, a manual vote recount for the vice-presidential race in the 2016 election is now going on, where the Supreme Court (SC) continues to sit as the Presidential Electoral Tribunal (PET). For the past four weeks, there were a lot of anomalies found such as wet ballots, missing logs, and others in some towns in Camarines Sur.

Meanwhile, among those famous personalities who admitted watching the Bruno Mars concert are former DILG Secretary Mar Roxas and wife Korina Sanchez, Ilocos Norte Governor Imee Marcos, Marinduque Rep. Lord Alan Velasco, businesswoman Audrey Zubiri, Vicki Belo, Vice Ganda, Dawn Zulueta, and Megastar Sharon Cuneta.
